This was a freelance design and development task.

Embrace the Middle East, a UK-based charity in Buckinghamshire, required a newly designed and updated eCommerce platform. They planned to use Shopify as their platform and requested a design and build based on newly developed brand guidelines, along with assistance for their IT team in connecting to their CRM.

The initial design was created in Adobe XD and then built using the Slate Shopify Theme, a barebones theme developed by Shopify. The build was carried out using the Zurb Foundation 6 CSS framework, with HTML, CSS, SASS, and jQuery. I also used Node Package Manager for the build and ongoing development of the site.

 

A redesign and setup were carried out using the Dawn theme, which was then modified to establish the necessary connections to their fulfilment house.

I continue to maintain the website as needed, ensuring it meets their objectives. This includes implementing updates for GDPR compliance and enabling the Shopify backend to handle postal orders efficiently.
