This was a freelance design and development task.
As part of an advertising campaign, I was tasked with redesigning and rebuilding Dancing Moose’s, a pub chain in the southwest of England, website to fit in line with their comprehensive brand guidelines.
A design was initially created in Adobe XD for approval before the website began development.
The website itself was built in WordPress using the Zurb Foundation 6 framework. Utilising HTML, CSS, SASS and jQuery. Gulp was used to compile jQuery and SASS files to be incorporated into the final build.
Key UX tasks, in order to maximise user engagement, was to encourage the use of the Book now buttons. This was done by adding it to the fixed navigation bar, and hero carousel initially as well as multiple locations throughout the site and individual pages.
A find your nearest modal was also added to encourage users to gain instructions on how to get to their nearest Dancing Moose pub.
The WordPress site utilises the Advanced Custom Fields plugin to allow the website to be populated by the client at any time.
At the time of writing, this website is still maintained by myself, while the Dancing Moose staff are able to populate content as and when they require
